Nishimiya Shouko + Process GIF

Hey! I’m bringing this post back up again in case people want to use this process post as reference (minus the ramblings from the previous one, yay)? This is not really a tutorial and more of a personal reference for my own painting process but if people find it useful, why the hell should I not repost it?
Here’s a breakdown of the steps if the gif switches frames too fast. This is more of a step-by-step than a full tutorial because I suck at explaining things in detail, I’m sorry ;u;:

  • Frame 1 – Sketch!
  • Frame 2 – Laying down colors. It doesn’t matter if they look messy at first, you can always clean it up and fix it later. Just focus on getting the right colors down.
  • Frame 3 – Blending and detailing!
  • Frame 4 – More detailing~
  • Frame 5 – Color adjustments and simple BG!

And that’s it? It took me a long time and a lot of trial and error before I found a workflow I’m comfortable with, and this may not be what you’ll find yourself comfortable working with. But! It’s always best to experiment! Happy painting! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
